Terms of Service

Last updated: 14 June 2026

Welcome to Skills Link Namibia. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of www.skillslink-nam.com (the “Platform”), operated by Skills Link Namibia. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. What Skills Link is

Skills Link is a platform that connects Clients with verified, police-cleared Service Providers in the Khomas Region of Namibia. We provide the platform that makes this connection possible. We are not a party to the actual work agreement between a Client and a Service Provider, and we do not employ Service Providers.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Platform.

3. Accounts

  • You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your login details secure.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

4. Service Provider verification and subscription

  • Service Providers must complete our verification process, which includes submitting a valid identity document and a police clearance certificate.
  • Verification helps build trust but is not a guarantee of the quality, safety, or outcome of any work. Clients should still use their own judgement.
  • Service Providers pay a flat subscription fee of N$100 per month to list their services. Service Providers keep 100% of what they earn — we do not take commission.
  • Subscription fees are billed monthly. If a subscription lapses, the Service Provider’s listing may be suspended until payment is brought up to date.

✓ Service Providers keep 100% of what they earn. No commission. Ever.

5. Bookings and payment for work

Arrangements for work, including price, scope, and payment, are made directly between the Client and the Service Provider. Skills Link is not responsible for payment between Clients and Service Providers for the work itself, nor for the quality or completion of that work.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Provide false information or impersonate someone else
  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Attempt to bypass the verification process or the subscription system
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform’s operation

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.

7. Verification is not a guarantee

While we verify the identity and police clearance status of Service Providers, we cannot guarantee the conduct, quality of work, or reliability of any user. Clients and Service Providers interact at their own risk and are encouraged to communicate clearly and use common sense when arranging and carrying out work.

8. Our liability

The Platform is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Skills Link is not liable for any loss or damage arising from:

  • The actions, work, or conduct of any Client or Service Provider
  • Disputes between users
  • Any interruption or unavailability of the Platform

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Namibian law.

9. Disputes between users

If a dispute arises between a Client and a Service Provider, the two parties should try to resolve it directly. Skills Link is not obligated to mediate but may, at its discretion, assist where appropriate.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows when the most recent changes were made. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia.
